During my master’s program, I wrote a short story based on a dark moment in my life and where I went from there. This specific scenario was mentioned in my blog post “Who am I—My Instabilities.” Since this concerns mental health, please be aware that there may be some themes included that may cause emotional triggers, so take this as a warning.
”A Cold Place” is loosely based on true events with different names of people involved. The letters presented in the second half are word-for-word from real students.
If there is ever a time when you feel this low, don’t be afraid to reach out. I did, and looking back, I’m really glad that I did.
